Charity Community

TMC encourage the support of third sector activities. Each year, TMC employees nominate their favourite charity. The winning charity is supported throughout the year by donations and fund raising activities.

 

Our charity for 2011 is Visyon - the leading charity in Cheshire dedicated to improving the health, in particular the mental health, of young people

 

Visyon is a charity passionately committed to improving young people’s emotional well-being to enable them to live happier, more fulfilling lives, to build stronger relationships and to be able to cope with life’s stresses. It provides high-quality, professional services in a way that suits the young people themselves. Based in Congleton, Cheshire, their aims are

 

• The preservation and protection of good health and in particular good mental health of young persons
• The advancement of education for the public so as to increase their awareness of mental health and the associated issues and related problems
• To relieve hardship, sickness and distress arising therefrom

Community Engagement Programme

KISS shares skills, knowledge and information about learning opportunities in order to improve performance, develop local businesses and raise skills in the community. KISS contributes to the development of the local economy by building relationships and networks and by supporting and growing local businesses. As well as encouraging and supporting the local community, schools ad colleges through focused educational projects such as the Back to Work programme and careers events.

Chamber of Commerce

TMC supports the local business community and economy by working closely with East Cheshire Chamber of Commerce. Sitting on the Board of the Chamber, Tim McCloud (Managing Director) is actively involved in engaging the business community within Cheshire East.

Education

Reaching out to local schools and colleges, TMC offers work placement opportunities throughout the year to students from both schools and colleges. With more direct involvement through Director, Jan McCloud sitting on the board of governors for Buglawton Primary School.
